The President of the Asian Pacific Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (APAB) announced the upcoming 10th Asian Pacific Congress (APCB) in Taipei, hosted by Prof. Yuh-Min Chen and the TSPCCM. The congress theme is “Shaping the Future of Interventional Pulmonology and Precision Medicine.”

The remarks highlight the increasing importance of bronchoscopists, particularly in precision medicine for lung cancer. Emphasis is placed on obtaining adequate biopsy specimens, including cytology samples, for essential biomarker testing that guides targeted therapies, noting that cytology is widely used in practice despite some trial limitations.
