World Lung Cancer Day – August 1
Lung cancer continues to be one of the most common cancers worldwide, claiming more lives yearly than breast, colon, and prostate cancers combined. World Lung Cancer Day is a great opportunity for every health care provider and member of the community to implement initiatives that urge everyone to encourage the increase of research efforts for improving prevention, early detection and optimal care of lung cancer all over the world.

The World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology joins the effort of all the world respiratory associations to commemorate, celebrate and support those impacted by lung cancer.

Towards this end, WABIP organizes diverse initiatives to commemorate the World Lung Cancer Day. We invite you to join by giving spreading our materials through your personal social media and your national and regional associations. Interventional pulmonology specialists are some of the main actors in the fight against cancer, let’s take action and rise awareness around the whole world community.
