This is a regional introductory course for incoming Pulmonary and Critical Care fellows from 13 institutions across midwestern states of the United States.

The course emphasizes hands-on training over didactic lectures, with the lectures provided ahead of time via website. The model is fresh-thawed human cadavers with low student:cadaver ratio (3:1-4:1) and student:faculty ratios (2:1-3:1). Bronchoscopy education project resources are utilized extensively.
