Research

The WABIP encourages and helps sponsor specific research endeavors based on a competitive grants and awards application system.

Special travel grants are designed to help selected individuals gain on-site experience with experts in selected institutions. Others may allow interested participants with opportunities to perform community health services or humanitarian aid actions.

Examples of ongoing research endeavors include design and development or webinars, studying novel uses of social media to enhance the educational process, development of global communication modalities, lung cancer-related clinical guidelines development, and studies of novel acoustic and optical imaging technologies for airway and lung diseases.
