Introduction

In partnership with regional societies and industry, as well as through close affiliations with transnational groups of health care professionals dedicated to the dissemination of a more uniform approach to bronchoscopy education, the WABIP helps support and conducts seminars and hands-on workshops that range from introductory programs for flexible bronchoscopy or endobronchial ultrasound, to specialized seminars dedicated to new or promising technologies available to diagnose and treat patients with airway, pleural, lung, and esophageal disorders. The new WABIP Academy’s Education Lecture Series is also available to all members.

The curricular design of these programs focuses on building and reinforcing cognitive, technical, affective and experiential knowledge to enhance physician competency, and to assure greater patient safety and well-being.
